Tourism Management Certificate
|
|
The Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events offers five certificate programs, specifically designed to help prior degree students gain the skills and practices necessary to support career changes into the hospitality profession.
Requirements
Entrance requirements include a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited, higher education institution in any degree field. Students must make a full application, be accepted to Metro State, and take courses for credit. The cost of the program is the same as undergraduate tuition for degree-seeking students. Since the student is a full-time, matriculated student for academic credit, additional financial aid and scholarships may apply. The credits achieved may also be applied to an additional bachelor’s degree if the student elects to major in one of the departmental concentrations. Students with similar courses in their prior experience may request that no more than 40% of the certificate credits be transferred from other institutions.
Certificate Program Requirement
- Review certificate program plan with advisor prior to enrollment.
- Students must complete each course in the certificate program with a “B” or better. The courses cannot be taken pass/fail.
