In order to qualify for the Nonprofit Organization Administration Certificate, an applicant must be accepted as an MSCD student. Each student must also complete a minimum of 150 hours of volunteer experience in a nonprofit agency while enrolled in the certificate program that applies the skills learned in the classroom. If the student can demonstrate that s/he has at least 500 hours work experience in a nonprofit organization, paid or unpaid, this requirement may be waived. Students must complete each course in the certificate program with a grade of “C” or better. The courses cannot be taken pass/fail.
