Art History, Theory and Criticism Minor

Upon successful completion of the minor in art history, theory and criticism, students will be prepared to:
- Recognize major achievements in the history of art, including the works and intentions of leading artists in the past and present, and demonstrate the way art reflects cultural values.
- Compare and contrast developments in the history of art across periods and cultures.
A grade of C or better is required in each required course before progressing to subsequent courses. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required. A minimum of nine upper division art history hours is required.
