Cadastral surveying is that branch of surveying which specifically applies to the original and retracement surveys of the Public Domain. The practicing surveyor is usually a registered or licensed land surveyor in accordance with state statutes.

2. A minimum of seven courses (20 credits) must be completed.
Prerequisites for the courses listed above may include, depending on the specific courses chosen, one or more of the following: SUR 2520 - Surveying II and SUR 3210 - Case Studies and Legal Research, in addition to college courses in calculus, probability and statistics, and physics.
