Engineering/construction surveying is that area of surveying and mapping which addresses the specialized surveying and mapping functions required by engineers and architects for design, construction, and post construction/monitoring of buildings, transportation systems, water and sewer systems, airports, railroads, etc.

1. The following courses comprise the program:
2. The student must elect a minimum of two of the following courses:
SUR 4320; SUR 4500; and SUR 4530. Prerequisites for the courses listed above may include, depending on the specific courses chosen, one or more of the following: SUR 1510 - Surveying I, SUR 3700 - Geodesy I, SUR 2550 - Surveying Computations, and SUR 2620 - Survey Drafting - CAD, in addition to college courses in calculus, probability and statistics, and physics.
