MTH 1310 - Finite Mathematics for the Management and Social Sciences
Credits: 4
Prerequisite(s): One and one-half years of high school algebra or equivalent and an appropriate score on the mathematics preassessment placement test.
Description: This course stresses the application of mathematics to business and the social sciences. The topics covered include evaluation and graphing of functions, the geometry of straight lines, operations on matrices, solving systems of equations, and an introduction to set theory and probability theory. All sections will integrate the use of a graphing calculator into the course.
Note: A specific calculator will be required.
