SWKM 5250 - Research Methods in Social Work

Prerequisite(s): Formal, written acceptance into the MSW program and SWKM 5050.  Students must adhere to the required sequence of MSW coursework.

Corequisite(s): SWKM 5300

This course introduces research methods including conceptualizing research problems; designing a survey; sampling, measuring, collecting and interpreting data; and presenting results. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods are presented. The emphasis is placed on conducting multiculturally focused research and evaluating findings critically.
